It will be interesting to see if the Saints go on the defensive side of the ball or if they elect to pick up on Colt McCoy.

OK. So, the Saints stayed on the defensive side of the ball. It just wasn’t a position I was expecting. The Saints picked Patrick Robinson, a cornerback from Florida Sate.

Robinson is a gifted size/speed athlete who has the skill set needed to start at the next level. However, he isn’t real technically sound with his footwork and lacks ideal instincts when asked to turn and find the football.

I really felt the Saints needed some additional speed and another play maker at the linebacker position. It really surprises me that they went with a defensive back when I feel that they are really solid at the cornerback position.
